Supported Currencies

OnePay supports 10 currencies, enabling your business to collect payments from customers across the world. Settlement to your bank account is always in LKR. Foreign currency amounts are converted at the applicable FX rate at the time of the transaction.

This is especially useful for travel businesses, hotels, and tour operators. Multi-currency acceptance works well for any business serving international visitors to Sri Lanka. Contact your Relationship Officer to confirm which currencies are enabled on your merchant account.

Settlement always happens in LKR. When a customer pays in a foreign currency, the amount is converted to LKR using the FX rate at the time of the transaction. For refunds on foreign currency transactions, the FX rate used is the one applicable on the refund date, not the original transaction date.

Please note that, as per guidelines issued by CBSL, Sri Lankan-based businesses are not permitted to accept USD payments from domestic customers. It is important to comply with these regulations to avoid any potential penalties.
